“My body was sore when we started. It was not responding well, but after the 6km mark my body started to pick up and I went to the front and picked up the pace. I was trying hard to hang in there and wait for the right time to pounce. But I knew I was going to pull away in the last 2km,” Mulaudzi.

“I have the World Half Marathon Championships in Latvia. This was one of the preparation races for that. I am feeling good, but we still have a bit of some training to do before we go there. I’m really excited and looking forward to it.” Oldknow

The event saw 5000 runners enjoying the fun and exciting route, with post-race entertainment by local artists adding to the excitement.

Hollywood Chairman Greg Glossop expressed his excitement about the turnout, stating, “We achieved our goal, and now we’re looking forward to the fourth edition in 2024, which will make its debut in Gauteng. This has been in the works for a while, and now the wheels are in motion.”
